Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive skill set including proficiency with EMR/EHR system Point Click Care, and have experience in long-term care. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient-centered care in a dynamic environment, utilizing advanced nursing techniques and specialized knowledge in areas such as critical care, wounds, doctor rounds, clinical charting, and behavioral health. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.
Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations.
• Administer medications and injections safely by utilizing aseptic technique.
• Perform specialized procedures such as catheterization (including cardiac and ostomy care), tube feeding, and ventilator management.
• Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, and chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for documentation of patient care activities and medical records management.
• Coordinate discharge planning and case management to ensure seamless transitions of care across inpatient, outpatient, home health, or long-term care settings.
• Participate in diagnostic evaluations including laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, sonography, mammography, and medical imaging procedures.
• Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication administration, wound care (including ostomy), and disease prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in specialized units such as ICU (including PICU), ER (Level I & II Trauma Centers), neonatal units with ventilator support, or post-acute care environments.
• Maintain strict infection control standards and sterile processing protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Assist and respond effectively to acute situations requiring airway management or advanced life support.
• Comply with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA and Workers' Compensation law while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications
• Valid RN license in the state of practice with current BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred for critical care roles.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology.
• Ability to perform complex procedures such as phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and sterile techniques confidently.
• Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to working with patients of geriatic age, especially those with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.73 - $43.03 per hour
