Job DetailsJob Location: Lenbrook Square Foundation 3747 Peachtree Rd NE - Atlanta, GA 30319Position Type: PRN - As NeededJob Summary: The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies by State and job setting. Geriatric Nurses care for the physical and psychosocial needs of older adults. They focus on maximizing a patient’s functional abilities as well as promoting, maintaining and restoring their physical and mental health. Responsibilities: • Must have cart experience. • Recognize significant changes in conditions of residents. • Administer medications according to procedure and be aware of pharmacological and therapeutic effect. • Chart medications and treatments according to procedures. • Record nursing information on resident’s care plans and clinical records, including nursing notes, MARs, treat-ment record, and transcription of physician orders. • Observe, report and record resident reaction to drugs, tests, treatments, and therapeutic measures. • Participate in formal and informal staff development in-service programs, workshops, institutes, and conferences. • Inform Nursing Supervisor of departmental activities and condition of each resident. • Assume responsibility for assigned residents, including regular bed checks, to ensure that no resident is left unat-tended or permitted to wander from the premises and ensure that resident call lights are answered promptly. • Report incidents of reported resident abuse immediately. • Report all unusual occurrences (incidents/accidents) that occur during the shift. • Ensure rehabilitative nursing procedures are performed. • Record monthly resident’s assessment and quarterly assessment. • Assist in interpreting goals and objectives of the Healthcare Department. • Perform rounds at least 3 times during a shift. QualificationsEducation and experience required: • Associate degree in nursing; bachelor’s degree preferred • Current Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia • Good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing • CPR certification • Cart experience is required • Experience in long-term care • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word) • 3-4 year of Nursing experience Schedule: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am Pay: $40-$45 an hour Apply Today: If you're ready to take your career to the next level and become part of a dynamic team that's passionate about making a difference, we'd love to hear from you!
