Looking for a unit where you’re supported, respected, and truly part of a team? Our Medical–Surgical Unit is a fast-paced, high-energy environment where nurses build strong clinical skills, meaningful relationships, and rewarding careers.
The 2E department is a 17-bed medical surgical unit equipped to deliver state-of-the-art care to the patients of IU Health Bloomington. 2E is designed to assist with patient overflow from other departments. On average, the acuity level for the patient population will be lower than other units.

Shift: We have a variety of shifts available; however, 1-on-call shift is required every 6 weeks.

Qualifications
• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
