The Raleigh House is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team now at our Watkins Location! Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for their field, enjoy working autonomously and as part of a dedicated team, and who is committed to giving clients an experience that will shape their future.

Essential Functions:
• Foster and be a part of a culture of excellence
• Engage with clients and be a part of their first steps of a recovery journey
• Perform nursing assessments including: Intake, vitals, COWS/CIWAs, and daily nursing notes
• Manage medication administration
• Oversee safe alcohol/drug withdrawal and medication tapers
• Assist in anchoring clients who struggle with mental health concerns
• Collaborate with involved and passionate providers for a truly interdependent experience
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Experience with addiction or mental health treatment in a residential setting, strongly preferred.
• Valid RN License
• Critical problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
• Compassionate and direct communication skills.

Minimum Education and Experience
• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN), preferred.
• Experience: 1 - 3 years at the LPN/RN level
• Licensure/Certification: RN or LPN required
• CAT or CAS, preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Experience with treatment facilities and/or addictions and mental health populations, preferred
• Residential and milieu experience, preferred
• Prohibitions: active addiction, use of illicit substances (including THC) at any time during employment, current sponsorship of a current or former (less than 1-year post RH treatment) client.
Working Conditions
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance), may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
• On-call or overnight work assignments may be required.

• Influenza Vaccination - required, except where guidelines allow for exceptions

Substance Free Workplace
• All staff must satisfy a pre-employment drug test.
• Raleigh House reserves the right to test employees for substance use at any time.
• THC, in any form, is not allowed by The Raleigh House.
• The smell of alcohol on a staff's person at any time, regardless where alcohol was consumed, is strictly prohibited. Staff will be sent out of the workplace immediately.
• Employees in violation of the Substance-Free Workplace Policy will be asked to leave the workplace.
• Employees in violation of the Substance-Free Workplace Policy may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including immediate termination.
• Prescription medications which may impact an employee's work performance should be reported to HR.

Safe Environment and Operations
• Criminal Background Investigations are conducted at the time of hire and periodically thereafter.
• Reference checks are conducted. Employment is contingent on satisfactory reference information.
• Staff who drive during the course of their work (including to "run errands" or travel between sites during the work day) are required to provide copies of:
• Current vehicle registration
• Current vehicle insurance
• Staff who drive company vehicles are required to provide a copy of their current driving record.
• Harassment, of any kind, is prohibited.
• Gossip is not allowed.
• Families and Friends are not permitted on any site without their supervisor's approval in advance.
• Use of personal electronic devices (including cell phones) is not permitted for non work-related activities during the workday.
• Tobacco product use is prohibited inside all buildings and in-line-of-sight of clients on all properties.
• The consumption of caffeine, sugar, and other discouraged foods is not allowed in-line-of-sight of clients.
• In severe driving conditions, maintain safety. Call a supervisor IMMEDIATELY, if an unsafe commute exists.
Self-Care and Staff Health
• The Raleigh House reserves the right to require time away from the workplace to support staff health and self-care.
• Do not come to work sick. Contact Supervisor prior to missing work.
• The Raleigh House adheres to FMLA guidelines.
• ADA accommodations require medical documentation. A written response will be provided by The Raleigh House.
• The Raleigh House adheres to the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act guidelines.

Performance Evaluation
Staff work performance is evaluated at least annually. Evaluation is based on satisfaction of Core Competencies and may include written or supervisor / management observation of skills and knowledge, as well as credential verification through governmental agencies. Satisfactory evaluation is required for the good standing of employment. Deficiencies will be addressed relevant to their essential necessity including with additional training and job coaching or disciplinary action, up to and including separation from employment.
