Registered Nurse - Acute MedSurgical in Bent, NM

Summary: The skilled Registered Nurse in an acute medical-surgical setting practices independently and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves providing both routine and complex care, with a focus on long-term goals and effective clinical management. The nurse will continue to develop coping strategies and management skills while making appropriate assignments and delegating responsibilities to enhance the clinical environment. Responsibilities: • Meets expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies for leadership at various levels. • Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, delivers comprehensive nursing care through the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. • Addresses the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, tailoring care according to their individual circumstances. • Administers medications and treatments following established protocols; monitors patients for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. • Accurately documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. • Identifies patient and caregiver learning needs, providing valuable education and resources to enhance their understanding and engagement in care. Job Requirements: Education/Skills: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred. Experience: 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: BLS certification is required. RN License in state of employment or compact is mandatory. Work Schedule: 7PM - 7AM Work Type: Full Time
