
Registered Nurse, Acute Trauma MedSurg - PRN Schedule in Starks, LA
Job Description
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Acute Trauma MedSurg department! We offer a PRN Tier Plan with a flexible schedule to fit your lifestyle. Choose from various tiers based on your availability and preferred compensation:
• Tier 1: Base rate based on experience, 3 shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Tier 2: $40/hr for 6 shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Tier 3: $45/hr for 12 shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Tier 4: $50/hr for 18 shifts in a 6-week schedule
We also offer shift differentials for those working nights and weekends!
Summary:
The Registered Nurse practices independently and is skilled in managing both routine and complex care situations for patients. You will use your clinical expertise to enhance care plans, respond to changing patient needs, and effectively delegate tasks to ensure high-quality patient management.
Responsibilities:
• Meet the expectations of OneCHRISTUS competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation).
• Understand and address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Identify learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers about their health and resources available.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• Current BLS certification required.
• Active RN License in the state of employment or associated compact.
