Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care through the nursing process. Your role includes conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatments, offering patient education, and maintaining medical records. Memorial Hermann hires nurses based on their years of experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
• RN I
• RN II = 1-3 years of experience
• RN III = 3-10 years of experience
• RN IV = 10+ years of experience
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver safe and appropriate care, aligning with patient needs and best practices.
• Coordinate nursing care planning with an interdisciplinary team and engage in clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes based on evidence and professional standards.
• Develop and implement treatment, discharge, and transfer plans.
• Participate in continuous evaluation of care processes and outcomes, aiming for improved patient-centered results.
• Address the diverse needs of patients throughout their care continuum, ensuring optimal service and patient experience.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and Texas Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Maintain safe environments for patients, staff, and visitors, following all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.
• Promote professional development by fulfilling continuing education and skill competency requirements; mentor less experienced staff.
• Demonstrate commitment to compassionate care for all community members, modeling Memorial Hermann's service standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
