Department/Unit: HBD - Aids Program Work Shift: Day Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $128,960.00 Job Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory setting, where you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of our practice physician and advanced practice providers. Your efforts will directly impact patient outcomes within our diverse healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: • Accurately obtain and document patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the treating provider. • Gather thorough patient histories (medical, surgical, social) and perform focused physical assessments as per clinic procedures. • Administer medications and treatments to patients in the clinic, ensuring compliance with established protocols. • Participate in in-office procedures related to clinic specialties, documenting results in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). • Triage incoming test results, manage patient requests, and coordinate pharmacy renewals with timely call-backs. • Facilitate resources to meet patient care outcomes and contribute to quality metrics aligned with facility and national standards. • Delegate appropriate tasks to LPNs and MAs based on their licensure levels. • Provide orientation and education to newly hired staff, sharing your expertise to foster a collaborative learning environment. • Engage in continuous education to stay updated on clinic specialties and current practices. • Educate patients on health and wellness related to their clinic visit, empowering them for better health management. Minimum Qualifications: • Associate's degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program. • Current New York State RN licensure. • CPR certification. • Certification in specialty ambulatory care environment preferred. • Exceptional customer service and communication skills. • Adept at presenting information clearly and responding to inquiries from patients, families, and healthcare team members. • Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with experience in electronic health records preferred. • Ability to administer medications via all routes and calculate doses accurately.
