General Summary Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate. As you may know, Henry Ford Medical Center – Grosse Pointe consists of two buildings: Pierson and Cottage. While the Pierson building was closed for renovations the past few years , the Cottage building remained open to serve our patients—and continues to do so. Pediatric Gastroenterology We offer the latest diagnosis and treatment options for all pediatric digestive issues. Henry Ford Health has been delivering trusted pediatric primary care in southeast Michigan for decades. Through our Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, we provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art, evidence-based care to newborns, children and adolescents with digestive health issues. Our gastroenterology (GI) services reflect our commitment to delivering complete pediatric care close to home. We have also established several specialty centers that offer timely evaluations to help diagnose and treat your child’s specific condition, as well as targeted programs within these centers. Straight clinic-not procedural. This is a One provider site. 1 RN, 1MA and 1 provider on site Location: Will be working out of Harbor town until Pierson location opens later this year This position will also have the possibility of rotating through NCO and Hamtramck to cover staffing needs Hours: Hours will vary from 36-40 hours per week. Hours will be based on clinic needs as well including weekends if needed. Start time can vary anywhere between 7:30AM 5PM with Tuesday being the exception (end time 6:30PM). Benefits: Full-Time Education/Experience Required Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel. Preferred Experience In The Specialty. Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. 2 years of pediatric experience needed Certifications/Licensures Required Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy. Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
