Job Summary-The RN will travel to multiple WVS surgical centers in Maryland and Virginia. The Registered Nurse is a vital team member, providing patient care during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. The Registered Nurse provides critical nursing care to the cardiac patient while assisting the Interventional Radiologist, Vascular Surgeon, and Endovascular in diagnostic and interventional procedures. They closely monitor the patient for complications, administer medications, including moderate sedation, document the procedure, and circulate or scrub into a procedure. The Registered Nurse also plays an essential role in communication and patient education pre- and post-operatively. They have excellent ACLS skills and are always prepared for emergencies. The RN will travel to multiple WVS surgical centers in Maryland and Virginia. Registered Nurse Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Preparing patients for procedures: Checking and verifying vital signs, meds, NPO status, lab results., and medical history. • Providing education to the patient and family members: Includes ensuring the patient and family members understand the procedure and plan of care before signing procedural consent and providing them with discharge planning/instructions. • Inserting and removing intravenous lines • Administering medications, including moderate sedation during procedures. • Monitoring patient patterns and vital signs during the procedures • Overseeing the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures • Circulate/scrub for procedures. • Providing post-procedure monitoring: Includes observing for signs and symptoms of a complication, such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and or changes in mental status or vital signs. Foster a work environment emphasizing WVS's mission, vision, and goals. Allowing for disagreement over ideas, expeditious conflict resolution, and appreciation of diversity. • Evaluate, plan, and improve SOP to enhance the quality of care, patient satisfaction efficiency, and output. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Actively participate in weekly team and management meetings Minimum Requirements: • Valid MD RN License • 3 -5 years of Med Surgery or Critical Care experience • the Job Training • Current BLS, ACLS • Current TB Screen • Current COVID Vaccination • Active /Unencumbered State RN license Pay: $40.00 - $51.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Experience: • Cath Lab/Recovery : 1 year (Preferred) • Radiology : 1 year (Preferred) • Emergency room: 1 year (Preferred) • Endoscopy: 1 year (Preferred) • Surgical : 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
