Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Job Summary The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care to adult patients with behavioral health needs in a hospital setting. The RN will work 3x12-hour night shifts, including weekdays and every other weekend. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient monitoring, and crisis intervention. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Monitor patient condition and report changes to the healthcare team. • Implement and maintain seclusion protocols/procedures • Assist with physical hold protocols. • Psychoeducation • Respond to crisis situations and provide intervention as needed. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. • Document patient care accurately and completely in EMR (Avatar). • Function as a charge nurse, if applicable, based on experience. Required Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of RN experience. • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia or compact state (Pending License Acceptable). • BLS certification from AHA • CPI/First Aid certification or ability to obtain during orientation. • Experience with charting systems. Preferred Qualifications • Previous charge experience. • Travel experience. • 1.5 Years of experience. • Experience working with Adolescent and Forensic patients.
