As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in a collaborative healthcare team, practicing within the ethical and legal frameworks established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association. Your leadership, effective communication, and commitment to quality outcomes will enhance patient care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
• Standards of Practice: Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver optimal care.
• Standards of Professional Performance: Engage in ethical practice, culturally competent care, effective communication, collaboration, and leadership. Leverage evidence-based research and prioritize quality improvements in nursing practice.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families, instilling trust and ensuring that care is aligned with their values and preferences.
• Coordinate care delivery and transitions, while promoting patient education and health awareness.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school required; BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification required within one month of hire.
Experience: This role serves as the foundation for all nursing positions; opportunities for advancement through the SPIRE clinical advancement program are available.
Licensure: Must be a licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut; clinical specialty certification is encouraged.
Special Skills: All RNs are encouraged to pursue advancement opportunities.
Physical Demand: Prolonged standing and walking required, with exposure to physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Ability to assist with patient lifting (up to 300 pounds) is necessary.
