Location: Avera McKennan Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Pay Range: $27.75 - $41.25 (actual pay rate dependent upon experience) Position Highlights: Enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule from 0700-1200 while being part of a compassionate multidisciplinary team focused on advancing health for our patients and community. A Brief Overview: As an RN, you play a crucial role in patient care by conducting line-based specimen collections and peripheral vein phlebotomy. Your ability to assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with the healthcare team ensures that any irregularities are addressed promptly following established protocols. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing physician prescriptions, formulating nursing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team. • Develop tailored nursing care plans by evaluating medical histories, performing patient examinations, and setting care objectives. • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques to empower them in their health journey. • Continuously evaluate patient care quality by measuring health outcomes and modifying care plans as necessary. • Maintain a safe and healthy patient environment by adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols. • Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately in medical records. • Ensure the proper functioning of patient care equipment and manage supply levels effectively. • Stay updated on nursing practices and procedures to maintain competence in your role. Essential Qualifications: Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to perform essential functions, including effective communication and teamwork skills, and be able to accommodate reasonable adjustments for disabilities as needed. Required Education and Experience: • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire. Preferred Qualifications: • Associate's Degree in Nursing. • 1-3 years of clinical experience.
