Job Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will work in a collaborative environment, engaging with interdisciplinary teams while focusing on a patient-centered care model. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will utilize evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Your role will involve developing care plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications:
• Graduate of a nursing school; BSN or MSN preferred.
• One (1) year of RN experience required; two (2) or more years in cardiac care preferred.
• Current and unrestricted RN license in good standing in the State of CT.
• Must obtain and maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within 90 days of hire, as well as department-specific certifications.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Skills and Abilities:
• Solid understanding of nursing principles and practices.
• Effective communication skills for technical and complex information.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, physicians, and patients.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work flexibly within a team.
• Capable of working efficiently in high-stress situations.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
This position requires strong analytical abilities to gather and interpret information and respond appropriately to changing circumstances and emergencies. Maintaining confidentiality is paramount.
