RNs will provide care for cardiovascular patients, including stable heart and lung transplant recipients and patients with Ventricular Assist Devices. The patient-to-nurse ratio is generally 1 : 5 during the day and 1 : 6 at night, with a possibility of 1 : 7 at night in rare circumstances. There are weekend shift requirements, with a total of 4 weekend shifts over an 8-week period. The nursing staff is supported by care teams, including care techs and transport teams, among others. The facility has a strict policy of being a nicotine-free environment. Holiday requirements include working 2 out of 3 major holidays. Travelers are expected to float within their scope of practice to meet overall staffing needs, which may include various units. Candidates with prior charge experience will be preferred.
