Responsibilities
• Standards of Practice: Follow the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide competent level of care.
• Coordination of Care: Ensure smooth transitions and coordination in care delivery.
• Health Teaching and Promotion: Engage patients in health education and promote a safe environment.
• Standards of Professional Performance: Maintain ethical practice, engage in effective communication, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to quality nursing practice.
Qualifications
• Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. New hires must obtain current BCLS certification within the first month of employment.
• Experience: Role encompasses foundational responsibilities expected of all RNs, with opportunities for advancement through the SPIRE clinical program.
• Licensure: Current registered nurse license in the State of Connecticut; clinical specialty certification encouraged.
• Physical Demands: The role requires prolonged standing, walking, and the ability to assist in lifting patients of varying weights.
