Role Overview: As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiology department, you'll play a crucial role in delivering skilled nursing care under the direction of a provider. Utilizing the nursing process, you will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs in various clinical environments. This position reports to a Practice Manager and emphasizes collaboration, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement. • Provide comprehensive office-based nursing care in partnership with your healthcare team. • Assess patients' physical and psychosocial needs, developing nursing care plans for continuity in care. • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding patient assessments and needs. • Initiate actions and participate in additional training to ensure seamless patient experiences. • Collect and document up-to-date health statuses and medical histories, aiding in scheduling patient visits. • Review patient records to ensure completeness and address outstanding issues with providers. • Demonstrate independent nursing decisions based on thorough assessment. • Assist in managing medication prescriptions under provider direction and monitor patient responses. • Document ongoing assessments of patient needs, issues, capabilities, and responses to care. • Triaging telephone inquiries with professionalism and promptness, initiating necessary nursing interventions. • Provide empathetic support to patients and their families while maintaining confidentiality.
