Registered Nurse - Cardiology in Colorado Springs, CO

Description Location: UCHealth Eastview Medical Center - Colorado Springs, CO Department: Cardiology Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $32.01 - $49.62 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience. This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiology department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care within a physician office setting. By leveraging the nursing process, you will ensure adherence to professional standards and the mission of UCHealth. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans to optimize health outcomes. • Monitor and document patient conditions, communicating as necessary to ensure continuity of care. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and address spiritual/psychosocial support needs. • Assess educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education based on age, culture, and medical condition. • Delegate responsibilities effectively to ancillary personnel and may mentor student nurses and new staff. • Utilize critical thinking and judgment skills to act decisively in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with relevant certifications as determined for the role. • A minimum of 6 months of nursing experience is required; ACLS certification is needed within 90 days of hire.
