About the Role:
This full-time position is essential for delivering exceptional patient care across various cardiovascular procedures, including open heart surgeries, valve surgeries, and more. Our three specialized heart rooms and hybrid room provide care for both pediatric and adult patients.
Your Responsibilities Include:
• Utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care during your shift.
• Coordinating with patients, families, and the healthcare team for optimal care.
• Performing assessments according to unit standards and documenting appropriately.
• Administering medications and treatments as per physician directives.
• Preparing patients and families for discharge and meeting their learning needs.
• Demonstrating competence in emergency procedures.
• Providing clinical supervision for LPNs and assistive personnel.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.

Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Valid State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred for Surgical Services.
• Experience in CVOR is highly preferred.
