Registered Nurse - Cath Lab @ Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD

Cath Lab RN Job Summary Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel assignment in the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have experience with EPIC, Procedural Sedation, Cath Lab, and Interventional Radiology. Key Responsibilities • Providing patient care in the Cath Lab. • Administering and monitoring procedural sedation. • Interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. • Assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, peripheral angiograms, pacemaker insertions, and EP studies. • Participating in on-call duties, including nights and weekends. • Working with adult and geriatric patients. • Floating to other units as needed. Required Qualifications • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state. • Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience. • Experience with EPIC charting system. • ACLS and BLS certifications. • Experience with Procedural Sedation. • Must have Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience • COVID-19 Vaccine: Required - No Exemptions • Flu Vaccine: Required - No Exemptions • Travel Experience Required : Yes Preferred Qualifications • Previous Charge Experience Skills & Competencies • Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring • Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias • EPIC charting proficiency • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Shift Details Day 4x10-Hour (07:30 - 17:30) Licensing Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state. Additional Information • Orientation: 16 Hours • Call Required: Yes, 1730-0700 weekdays and 1730 Friday - 0700 Monday for weekends on a rotation; average is approximately 9-13 days of call in a six week period. • Self-Scheduling • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics • Patient Ratios Days: 3-4 • Call Ratios Nights: on call • Call Ratios Weekends: on-call • Call: 10-15 every 4 weeks, 4 man call team, • one Pre-Approved Time Off • Orientation Hours: 30 • Local Radius: 50 miles • Daily Census: 5-24 cases
