We’re looking to bring on full time nurses join our Michigan Procedure Lab. This position requires availability for a full-time 40-hour workweek. Scheduling will vary depending on physician coverage needs, with shifts of 8–12 hours. About the Role:
Vascular Centers of America is seeking highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurses to join our outpatient procedure lab. This role involves providing exceptional pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing vascular procedures. As a RN, you’ll play a critical role in supporting patient safety, comfort, and recovery while working alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
This is a full-time opportunity requiring a commitment of 40 hours weekly in our fast-paced lab environment. Shifts typically run approximately 8-12 hours. One weekend day availability is required once a month as well.
Key Responsibilities
• Pre-Op Care: Prepare patients for procedures, including assessments, IV placements, and patient education.
• Sedation Assistance: Administer and monitor moderate sedation during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Post-Op Recovery: Monitor and care for patients post-procedure, managing recovery and discharge processes.
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other team members to ensure seamless and efficient patient care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards in the procedure lab.
Requirements
• Licensure: Active RN license in Michigan state.
• Sedation Experience necessary.
• Previous experience in a cath lab or ER/ICU setting.
• Pre- and Post-Op Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with the care team and patients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
