In our Chest Pain Observation Unit, you'll provide expert and compassionate care for patients experiencing chest pain and those undergoing recovery from cardiac and vascular procedures. With a 1:5 patient ratio, you will have the opportunity to offer personalized attention and care in a dynamic, high-impact environment. Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care according to departmental requirements and the standards of practice. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide comprehensive, compassionate care, embracing models such as 'Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.' You will serve as an advocate for patients and caregivers, embodying our organization's mission and values to ensure outstanding experiences and positive clinical outcomes. Responsibilities include: • Assessing patient conditions upon admission and during each shift, promptly recognizing and reporting any changes. • Performing procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care. • Administering prescribed medications and closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effective treatment. • Providing exceptional care by promptly addressing patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs. • Educating patients, families, and caregivers regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and necessary follow-up, ensuring effective communication. Qualifications: • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. • (RN) Registered Nurse license. • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
