Overview We are seeking a OR Circulating Registered Nurse ( RN) , internally referred to as our Operating Room Circulating R N . You will be a part of a close-knit, highly collaborative operating room team that assists with Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and General Surgeries. The OR Circulating RN is an essential member of the perioperative team, who advocates for patients that are under anesthesia and/or sedation and the OR RN that conducts an inventory of supplies and equipment used during and after the surgical procedure. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): • P repare the operating room , ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properly • A ssist in preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completed • D ocument pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical record • M aintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipment • M aintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipment Qualifications Education and Work Experience Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  • Current and valid state RN License • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
