Join SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City as a PRN Registered Nurse in our clinic.
About the Role:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and compassionate nursing care while adhering to established policies and protocols. You’ll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients' lives!
Your Responsibilities:
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, recording and communicating changes in patient conditions effectively.
• Act as the primary coordinator among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders with diligence.
• Assess and facilitate patients' discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Participate in rounding with physicians in inpatient settings when applicable.
• Integrate evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge into nursing care tailored to patients' age and clinical needs.
• Uphold professional nursing standards, guided by the ANA Code of Ethics.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safe practices in your nursing duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support team efforts.
Education and Experience:
• Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing school or possess an equivalency for licensing.
• No previous nursing experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly utilize speech for communication with patients and team members.
• Constantly stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs and support patient mobility.
• Frequent use of vision for distance and color recognition, as well as smell and hearing.
• Engage in bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motions as necessary.
Licenses and Certifications Needed:
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license specific to the state of practice or issued by a Compact State.
