Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in planning, delivering, documenting, and evaluating nursing care tailored to each patient’s individual needs, in alignment with provider's orders and recognized standards of care. You will oversee the activities of assigned nursing personnel, observe and assess patients, and maintain thorough and accurate documentation of care. Your contributions will align with our mission, vision, values, and customer service standards at The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• A strong foundational knowledge of nursing theory and practical applications.
• The ability to use and care for nursing-related instruments and equipment.
• The skills to maintain constructive working relationships with colleagues and medical staff.
• Physical dexterity and coordination.
• Preferred:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and relevant certifications.
• Experience in specific units (e.g., Operating Room, Pediatric Care, Psychiatry) as outlined in the detailed qualifications.
Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk throughout the day. Candidates should be able to lift weights between 250-300 pounds with assistance and push/pull up to 500 pounds. Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning products may occur. You must possess normal visual and audio ranges, with or without correction.
