Role Overview: • Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with individual patient needs, provider's orders, and recognized nursing standards. • Plan, document, and evaluate nursing interventions and maintain current and accurate documentation reflecting the patient's care and progress. • Lead and direct the activities of nursing personnel in delivering comprehensive care. • Conduct thorough assessments, observing and reporting on patient conditions to ensure optimal care delivery. • Embody the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. Qualifications: • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program. • Current Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA (must obtain within 90 days of hire). • Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including care protocols and principles of medical asepsis. • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and maintain strong professional relationships. • Excellent physical coordination and dexterity required. • PRN and Float Staff: Minimum one year of recent clinical experience in the specialty area. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and relevant certification. • Experience in specific areas such as Operating Room, PACU, Psychiatry, or Cardio-Pulmonary Nursing. • Prior experience with health initiatives such as smoking cessation and wellness programs. Physical Requirements: • Ability to engage in a variety of physical activities, and may need to sit or stand for extended periods. • Vision and hearing within normal ranges, with or without correction. • Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance and push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance. • May be exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals.
