If you can work any of these shifts, we would love to hear from you: • 8:30am-6:30pm CST on Fridays and Saturdays OR • 8:30am-6:30pm CST on Saturdays and Sundays PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE As an RN Clinical Consultant, you will triage calls to assess needs, provide appropriate care advice, and direct individuals to suitable levels of treatment, all while promoting cost-effective outcomes and facilitating safe returns to work. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—when triaging calls. • Identify caller needs by gathering health information and providing physician referrals as necessary. • Evaluate treatment alternatives through telephonic contact and assessments. • Utilize triage protocols to obtain and enter relevant data into the computer system. • Recognize life-threatening emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions. • Refer issues that need physician intervention in a timely manner, directing patients to the proper level of care. • Maintain adherence to quality assurance standards and serve as a resource for triage team members. EDUCATION AND LICENSING A Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred. An active, unrestricted RN compact licensure is required along with a minimum of two years of recent clinical practice experience. Proficiency in multiple computer applications is expected. Sedgwick provides competitive compensation that varies based on skills, experience, and local market conditions. For this position, the starting pay ranges from $35.00 to $36.00 per hour.
