Travel / Local RN – Corrections Company: TOPTAL CARE Inc Location: Riverside, VA Facility Type: Correctional Facility Position Type: Travel / Local Assignment Contract Duration: 9 Weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Pay Package: Competitive & Negotiable About The Opportunity TOPTAL CARE Inc is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 9-week Travel or Local assignment at a Correctional Facility in Riverside, Virginia. This role is ideal for RNs who are comfortable working in a secure environment and providing care to diverse patient populations with acute, chronic, and behavioral health needs. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated patients in a correctional setting. • Perform patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Respond to medical emergencies and follow facility protocols. • Conduct intake screenings and health evaluations. • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system. • Collaborate with medical providers, nursing staff, and custody personnel. • Follow infection control, safety, and security procedures at all times. Required Qualifications • Active RN license (VA license or compact state). • Minimum 1 year of RN experience (corrections experience preferred, not mandatory). • Current BLS certification (AHA). • Ability to commit to a full 9-week assignment. • Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts in a correctional environment.
