Job Description
Job Title
• Registered Nurse – CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)
Location
• Portsmouth, NH
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Days shifts, 13-week travel assignment
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries in a busy OR setting.
• Assist in procedures such as CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creations, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, and ECMO.
• Collaborate with a skilled team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR and adhere to hospital policies.
• Support trauma-level procedures, providing coverage for vascular and thoracic cases.
• Participate in call rotations, including weekend call requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CVOR RN or in a similar Cardiovascular Operating Room role.
• Proven experience with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures.
• Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular cases effectively.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system.
• Punctuality with a 30-minute callback time and flexible scheduling.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous experience in operating rooms performing open-heart, Vascular, or Thoracic surgeries.
• Ability to work well in a small, team-oriented environment with long-term staff members.
• Flexibility to manage on-call responsibilities, including approximately one weekend per month.
