Job Description
Salary:
JOB PURPOSE:
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is in a leadership and educator role, providing both patient care and education to direct reports, including researching, training, guiding, and providing instruction to any direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis.
• Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safetyhazards.
• Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development.
• Uses knowledge and judgement needed to meet the nursing needs of patient.
• Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.
• Other duties may be assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS OR ABILITIES:
Required Skills for this position are but not limited to:
• Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written, oral, and communication skill.
• The ability to adapt to new software, equipment, and tasks that take place daily.
• Documentation Skills.
• Analyzing Information.
• Creating a Safe, Effective Environment.
• Infection Control.
• Ability to react calmly in emergency situations.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and regulations to give and evaluate patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Working knowledge of how a medical office runs.
• At least one year of experience working in the medical field would be preferred but not required.
• BLS or CPR required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical demands described are representative of those that must be routinely met by and employee to successfully
perform the essential duties of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individualswith disabilities to perform the essentials duties.
• Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical transportation.
• Operates a computer and keyboard.
