Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in Diagnostic Radiology, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. In this position, you will operate independently within your clinical expertise and be aware of all essential aspects of patient care. You will handle both routine and complex cases, contributing to long-term patient care goals and managing unexpected clinical situations effectively. Your leadership skills will shine as you make appropriate patient assignments and delegate tasks to optimize care delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate competencies in both self-leadership and team leadership, aligning with OneCHRISTUS expectations.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your assigned patients.
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families in accordance with your level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols, while monitoring for side effects and assessing treatment effectiveness.
• Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, delivering education tailored to their needs and identifying available resources.
Job Requirements:
• Education/Skills: Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
• Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: BLS certification required; valid RN License in the state of employment or through compact licensure.
