Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse – Boston, MA
Pay: $90–$100/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 hrs/week | 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Job Overview
A leading Level I academic teaching medical center in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse. This role focuses on providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing complex EP procedures, including ablations, device implants, and EP studies.
No weekends. No holidays. Excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality nursing care for EP procedures such as:
• Ablations
• EP studies
• Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI)
• Cardioversions
• Cardiac device implants & explants
• Cryoablation
• Additional advanced EP procedures performed at Level I centers
• Monitor patients through all phases: pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure
• Collaborate with EP physicians, technicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in accordance with EP unit protocols
• Support patient education and safe discharge planning
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and clinical standards
Required Experience
• Recent, hands-on Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Proficiency with EP devices, EP studies, ablations, PVI, and advanced cardiac electrophysiology care
Required Certifications
• BLS – Basic Life Support
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Ability to successfully pass an on-site Telemetry Exam (85% or higher)
