Join our dynamic Emergency Department team with our flexible PRN Tier Plan that allows you to choose your pay rate!
PRN - Tier Plan Options:
Tier 1: $40/hr for 6 shifts in 6 weeks
Tier 2: $45/hr for 12 shifts in 6 weeks
Tier 3: $50/hr for 18 shifts in 6 weeks
Plus, earn shift differentials for nights and weekends!
Summary:
The ideal candidate will practice independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care. You will work towards long-term objectives while efficiently managing clinical contingencies and delegating tasks to other care providers.
Responsibilities:
• Meet the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Deliver nursing care in accordance with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document comprehensive patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Evaluate learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers, identifying relevant issues and resources.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
• 1 year of experience in a nursing specialty preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
• BLS certification required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact required.
Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. All new hires will receive orientation from a designated staff member while validating on-boarding requirements through competency assessments.
Credential Grace Periods:
Grace periods apply for additional required credentials based on your experience level.
• At least one year of acute care clinical experience in a similar service line within the past three years qualifies as Experienced Associate.
• Less than one year of full-time acute care clinical experience in the same service line qualifies as New to the Specialty.
Required Certifications and Grace Periods:
• BLS: No grace period.
• ACLS: 30 days for Experienced Associates; 90 days for New to the Specialty.
• PALS: 30 days for Experienced Associates; 90 days for New to the Specialty.
• TNCC: 60 days for Experienced Associates; 18 months for New to the Specialty.
• NRP: 30 days for Experienced Associates; 60 days for New to the Specialty.
