The ER can provide emergency evaluation, stabilization and treatment for ill or injured patients. Patients needing more complex care for traumatic or life-threatening injuries or illness can be transferred to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center or another appropriate facility through Atrium Health Floyd Emergency Medical Services. Experienced ER RNs new to the organization are assessed for required education and competency. TNCC, BLS, ACLS and NRP will be required.
