Shift Type: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts (specific start/end times not provided), rotating/float within Zone 4, Every Other Weekend (EOW), Day shift
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
• Assess, triage, and stabilize emergency patients across a wide range of acuity levels
• Provide timely, evidence-based nursing care including medication administration and patient monitoring
• Interpret telemetry and ECG strips to detect arrhythmias and acute changes
• Perform point-of-care testing and document results accurately
• Chart thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Float between Zone 4 ERs, adapt to each facility’s workflows, and maintain professionalism
• Collaborate with physicians, RTs, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Participate in unit orientation, quality initiatives, and maintain required certifications
• Support patient safety, rapid response, and STEMI/stroke pathways as needed
Qualifications
• Active RN license (Kansas required or compact where applicable); license to submit is required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (ER experience strongly preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry and basic ECG strips
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Ability and willingness to float across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Be in-state for orientation week and able to secure housing that enables floating within the zone
• BSN not required
Education
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred but not required
• Active RN licensure in Kansas (or compact RN license where applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong emergency assessment and critical thinking skills
• Telemetry interpretation and familiarity with cardiac monitoring
• Proficient documentation in EPIC or similar EHR systems
• Point-of-care testing and basic lab procedures
• Familiarity with STEMI and stroke protocols and rapid response workflows
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and prioritization under pressure
• Adaptability to different unit layouts and workflow variations across facilities
