Full-time Night Shift 72 hours bi-weekly 7pm to 7:30am Every 3rd weekend Rotating holidays The ED is a fast paced environment where nursing staff care for patients of all ages with emergency medical complaints. The high volume GSH ED sees about 45,000 patients each year. Our highly trained staff are supported by a Director, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Managers, Clinical Educators, and On-Boarding Specialists. The ED specific orientation is comprehensive to include care for high risk patients, life threatening conditions and illnesses, as well as care of patients with psychiatric disorders, and lower acuity patients. Certifications covered in orientation are BLS, ACLS, and PALS. General Summary Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
