The Emergency Department at Windham Hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality care for a wide range of patient needs, from traumatic injuries to common illnesses, including behavioral health and opioid-related cases. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of Registered Nurses (RNs), Advanced Providers, Nursing Assistants, and administrative support, all working together to ensure our patients receive outstanding care in a 23-bed facility, featuring a fast-track area and dedicated behavioral health space. Job Summary As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will work in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on patient-centered care. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, you will apply evidence-based practices in alignment with the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Utilize your nursing expertise to create individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families. Qualifications • Experience: Minimum one year of RN experience required. A solid understanding of nursing processes and customer service principles is essential. National certification in specialty preferred. • Licensure/Certification: Current BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 3 months of hire. • Educational Requirements: Candidates must possess a current CT RN licensure or be in the process of obtaining one, and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
