Type of Opportunity: Full time FTE: 0.9 Job Exempt: No Work Shift: Nights (United States of America) Responsibilities: • Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs and responses. • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. • Conduct thorough assessments per unit standards and document appropriately. • Utilize and document applicable protocols and standards of care. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols, documenting in accordance with policy. • Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs upon admission and throughout the care episode. • Evaluate patient progression toward outcomes as per unit standards and document findings. • Demonstrate competency in emergency situations. • Delegate tasks to healthcare team members as per their validated competency. • Assume clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. • Provide leadership through communication and validation of patient care practices. • Assist with procedures, treatments, and surgical techniques, or delegate as appropriate. • Complete age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing. Qualifications: Minimum ADN preparation. • At least two years of nursing experience required. • Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required. • Additional Requirements for Emergency Departments: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications. • Academic Preparation: Degree from an accredited nursing program (approval may be accepted if under conditional status). Minimum ADN preparation. Specialty Certifications in practice area preferred.
