Position Summary: As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will coordinate, implement, and deliver nursing care efficiently and effectively. Position Requirements: • Earned nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution. • Active nursing license in the State of Tennessee. • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire. • For Adult Emergency Room: • Preferred minimum one year of emergency experience. • TNCC certification preferred. • ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire. • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification required within six months of hire. Workplace Experience: • Emergency Patient Care • Critical Care Patient Care (if applicable) Physical Requirements: • Able to communicate effectively and clearly in English. • Prolonged standing for up to twelve hours. • Lifting patients up to 250 lbs with assistance. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission. • Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs. • Provide patient education and address discharge needs. • Administer medications accurately and in compliance with protocols. • Document patient care thoroughly and timely. • Reassess and modify care plans based on patient conditions. • Take charge responsibilities, ensuring effective staff assignment. • Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families. • Uphold cleanliness and professionalism in the work area.
