Role Description This is a full-time on-site opportunity for a Registered Nurse at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women (NCCW) in York, NE. In this role, the Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive medical care to individuals in the custody of NDCS. Key responsibilities include assessing patient health conditions, administering medications, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring adherence to all relevant health and safety protocols. The position requires a commitment to dignified and high-standard care in a correctional setting. Qualifications • Strong nursing skills including patient health assessment, medication administration, and emergency response • Knowledge of infection control, medical treatments, and health care protocols • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare and correctional professionals • Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate medical records • Commitment to following legal, ethical, and healthcare regulations and practices • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Nebraska or eligibility for license • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills • Experience in correctional or mental health nursing is a plus
