Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
• Provide expert, compassionate nursing care for endoscopy patients before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor and manage conscious sedation and recovery, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Start and maintain IVs and administer medications including opioid analgesics, propofol, and versed as indicated
• Circulate during procedures, anticipate team needs, and contribute to efficient workflow
• Perform airway management and respond to dysrhythmias or other acute events with calm, competent care
• Handle specimen collection and labeling accurately to support diagnostic needs
• Maintain and assist with cleaning of scopes and equipment following facility protocols
Qualifications
• Current CA RN license (required)
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with endoscopy experience required
• Prefer experience in preop/PACU/OR, Med-Surg, ICU or ED
• CGRN certification is a plus
• Ability and willingness to float to other facilities as needed
• Must meet facility immunization guidelines (COVID-19 vaccine + booster required; medical/religious exemptions allowed)
Education
• Active California RN license (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
• Proficient in endoscopy workflow and circulating for procedures
• Skilled in conscious sedation monitoring and post-procedure recovery
• Strong IV insertion and medication administration skills
• Knowledgeable in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with specimen handling and accurate labeling
• Familiarity with cleaning and reprocessing of endoscopic scopes
