Employment Type : • Full time • Shift : • Day Shift • Description : • GENERAL SUMMARY : Provides patient care, through all phases of the Endoscopy experience; Provides patient care activities to patients of May include doing pre-procedure phone calls to patients and / or physician offices to obtain information. • Demonstrates the ability to organize work and enhance the safety and quality of patient care, Prepares for cases in an efficient manner, anticipating needs of the patient and physician. • Provides a safe environment for customers : patient, family, physicians and staff. • Collects and analyzes data and assesses patient in developing nursing diagnosis / plan of care. • Communicates effectively with the patient, staff, physicians, families, and other health care Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up and function. • Ongoing physiological assessment through all phases of the Endoscopy experience. • Utilize computer software for electronic medical record documentation (EMR). • Actively assists physicians in a large variety of endoscopy procedures. • Takes assigned call as defined per unit policy • Possession of a current or compact state license as a registered nurse issued / defined by the Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft office products.
