Registered Nurse - EP Lab
Location:- Anchorage, AK, 99508
Duration:- 13 Weeks
Shift:- Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)
Pay rate:- $80- $92/hr W2.

• Pre-procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for EP procedures, including explaining the procedure, obtaining consent, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Assistance During Procedures: Assist physicians during EP procedures by providing necessary instruments and equipment, monitoring patient vital signs, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients closely before, during, and after EP procedures, including assessing vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to medication.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including sedatives, antiarrhythmics, and other medications necessary for patient care during EP procedures.
• Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including patient assessments, interventions, medications administered, and patient responses to treatment.
• Patient Education: Provide patient and family education regarding EP procedures, post-procedure care, and medications.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, technicians, and other nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care in the EP Lab.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the EP Lab to enhance patient outcomes and safety. Requirements for Registered Nurse - EP Lab
• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience: Previous experience in a cardiac care setting, preferably in an EP Lab or cardiac catheterization lab, is highly desirable.
• Certification: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. Additional certifications in cardiac nursing or electrophysiology nursing are preferred.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring equipment and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
• Competence in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and maneuver equipment as needed during EP procedures.
• Professionalism: Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
