An opportunity is available for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse with a strong background in acute care to provide exceptional weekend coverage in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position offers a focused schedule from Friday through Sunday, 7 PM to 7 AM, enabling concentrated shifts in a fast-paced environment that demands critical thinking and compassionate patient care. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients with diverse and urgent medical needs • Perform patient assessments, interventions, and treatments consistent with clinical protocols • Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as per regulatory and institutional standards • Respond swiftly to emergent situations, providing advanced life support as necessary Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ER Registered Nurse • Current New Jersey RN License • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required • Proven ability to work overnight weekend shifts effectively • Strong critical thinking and communication skills This contract role requires COVID-19 vaccination with one booster as well as an annual flu vaccination to comply with health and safety protocols.
