Job Description
This role offers an opportunity to serve diverse patient populations across multiple hospital units with a high degree of clinical skill and adaptability. As a member of the Nursing Resource Team, you will provide compassionate, culturally competent care in medical-surgical, emergency, critical care, progressive care, and behavioral health settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care in ER, ICU, PCU, Med Surg, and Behavioral Health (adult acute, youth acute, addiction recovery) units.
• Evaluate, plan, implement, and document nursing care tailored to patient needs.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures and perform patient tests.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips and non-invasive ventilation.
• Facilitate patient independence through education on conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to nursing standards, Idaho Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies.
• Flexibly float between units with efficient time management.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience (can be concurrent) in ER, ICU, PCU, Med Surg, and Behavioral Health/Psych settings.
• Proficient with cardiac drips and non-invasive ventilation.
• Valid State of Idaho or compact RN license.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Restraint C and MOAB training provided during onboarding.
• Experience with electronic health records (EPIC preferred).
• Ability to float effectively across multiple units and adapt quickly.
• Candidates should reside within 50 miles of the location and be willing to work every other weekend.
Schedule:
• 12-hour shifts (07001930 or 19000730), schedule subject to unit needs.
