
Registered Nurse ER | Big Sky, Montana in Big Sky, MT
Job Description
Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic emergency room setting located in Big Sky, Montana. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with an experienced healthcare team to assess, plan, and implement critical care interventions for patients in need of urgent medical attention. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale certification
• Pediatric certification such as PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in emergency nursing or critical care
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Ability to practice modified primary nursing confidently
• Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions across acute and emergency scenarios
• Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, including stroke care protocols
• Participate in continuous professional development and education, including trauma and stroke training
• Manage varied shifts, including weekends and on-call duties as needed
