Deliver expert nursing care in a dynamic Level 1 Trauma emergency department, providing critical support to a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics. This position offers an opportunity to work nights with a dedicated schedule, focusing on trauma, neurological, orthopedic, psychiatric, and renal emergencies in a high-acuity setting. Key Responsibilities: • Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to emergency department patients including trauma cases. • Manage a patient ratio of approximately 4:1, ensuring close monitoring and timely interventions. • Administer treatments, start IVs, and utilize telemetry for patient monitoring. • Float within the scope of practice as needed to support the department. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. • Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and hospital policies for a secure environment. Qualifications and Experience: • Registered Nurse (RN) with active WV or Compact RN license (pending licenses accepted if active before start). • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in emergency nursing preferred. • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI (CPI training available prior to start). • Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring. • Ability to work night shifts: 7p7a, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend coverage. • First-time travelers with appropriate experience are encouraged to apply. Additional Details: • No call requirements. • Blocked schedules may be discussed during the interview process. • Guaranteed 36 hours per week. • Must live more than 100 miles from the facility or submit for approval if within 75100 miles. • Compliance with vaccine and flu shot policies required.
