
Registered Nurse ER | Gurdon, Arkansas in Beirne, AR
Job Description
Provide expert nursing care in an Emergency Room setting at a well-equipped medical center in Gurdon, AR. This contract position offers 12-hour day shifts with a supportive team environment and opportunities to advance your emergency nursing skills.
Schedule:
• 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours (07:00 AM 07:00 PM)
• Every other week (EOW) schedule with holiday coverage as needed
Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients presenting with diverse diagnoses such as congestive heart failure, pneumonia, psychiatric conditions, urinary tract infections, hypertension, diabetic ketoacidosis, and cerebrovascular accidents
• Utilize specialized equipment including Ranger Blood/Fluid Warmers, Bair Huggers, Blanket Warmers, and Baxter Spectrum IV pumps
• Manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:3, collaborating with the trauma community and AR Saves program
• Participate in emergency procedures for STEMI and stroke patients
Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, TNCC is required; NRP and PALS certifications are preferred
• Experience with MedHost electronic health records
• Previous Charge RN experience is an advantage
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced trauma and emergency environment
