An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Room setting of a well-equipped 28-bed department. This fast-paced, team-oriented environment features 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms, providing a dynamic and challenging nursing experience. The position is based in Keaau, HI, and requires a commitment of approximately 15 weeks. Location Insight Keaau offers beautiful surroundings with a rich cultural heritage and close proximity to outdoor activities such as hiking and beach visits. Schedule • Days • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours weekly) • No guaranteed hours Responsibilities • Deliver exceptional nursing care in a high-acuity emergency room setting • Manage fast patient turnover and respond effectively to trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac emergencies • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care standards • Maintain up-to-date patient records and comply with all healthcare protocols Qualifications and Desired Experience • Current RN license to practice in the State of Hawaii (must obtain license before assignment start if not already held) • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required • Preferred certifications include Procedural Sedation, Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) • Ability to arrive on the Thursday before the assignment to complete necessary employee health appointments Additional Details Candidates must be able to start on time and attend an employee health appointment scheduled Friday prior to their first shift.
