
Registered Nurse ER | Naperville, Illinois in Bolingbrook, IL
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a critical role within a fast-paced Emergency Room environment, working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients in urgent need. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute your nursing expertise in a Level I Trauma ED setting, enhancing your skills while supporting an urban teaching hospital atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to emergency patients, maintaining patient-to-nurse ratios of approximately 1:4
• Deliver prompt assessment, triage, intervention, and treatment in alignment with trauma care standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and safety
• Document care accurately using the Epic electronic health records system
• Participate in weekend shifts every other weekend, with some floating duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred in an urban, Level I Trauma Emergency Department
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC and CPI certifications are a plus
• Experience at a teaching hospital is preferred but not required
• Open to first-time ER nurses with appropriate training and certification
• Pending nursing licenses are accepted under NORTO guidelines, with a 7-day work restriction
Schedule:
• Day shifts, 3x12-hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Floating responsibilities may be required
